Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes how TracGlobal handles the personal and tracking data you entrust to us when you use our GPS vehicle and asset tracking service.
1.Who we are
TracGlobal is a GPS vehicle and asset tracking service operated as a subsidiary of Anitrack Group of Companies, based at No. S65, 1 Airport Square, Accra, Ghana. This policy explains what personal and operational data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We act as the data controller for account information and as a data processor for the tracking data you and your devices generate on the platform.
2.Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account details — name, email, phone number and login credentials.
- Device and vehicle data — tracker unique IDs, vehicle/asset names, categories and configuration.
- Location and telemetry — GPS position, speed, course, ignition, fuel, mileage, sensor inputs and the events your devices report.
- Usage data — log records, IP address, browser/device type and how you interact with the dashboard.
- Enquiries — information you submit through our get-started or contact forms.
3.How we use your information
We use this information to:
- Provide live tracking, trip history, geofencing, reporting and alerts.
- Maintain, secure and improve the platform.
- Send service notifications and alerts (web, email, SMS or Telegram) that you configure.
- Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
- Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
4.Location data
Location is the core of our service. Tracking data is collected from the GPS devices installed on your vehicles and assets and is visible only to your account and the users you authorise. We do not sell location data, and we do not use it for advertising.
5.Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example, hosting, SMS and messaging providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations, with parties you explicitly authorise, or where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6.Data retention
We retain tracking and account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data, subject to records we are required to keep.
7.Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and other safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.
8.Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you directly.
